Fresh off releasing the True Theory Outtakes, Luck-One brings us his ode to Portland from his forthcoming project, True Theory, entitled “Sounds of My City” (produced by Chi Duly). I had a great time mixing this whole project and can’t wait til he releases it so everyone gets to hear it. Also, look out for the song I produced, “Monotheism”, when it drops with the rest of the project in March.

New music from Portland female MC/skateboarder/wicked witch of the west, ElleMC. Worked exclusively with Elle and her producer Scraps Slaps on this debut project for the mixing/mastering. I did some additional production on the song, “Put A Spell On You” (below) as well. Click the album cover for the Itunes link to purchase/preview the EP. Currently working with Elle on her new project. Stay tuned!

Couple new songs off Quizzilla’s forthcoming solo endeavor, 2 Che. First met Quiz when his group, The Free Agentz, came and recorded their mixtape, Free At Last, with me earlier this year. It’s one of the best mix tapes I have been able to be apart of. Definitely look out for Quiz and his group, The Free Agentz. J Rome lends his singing chops on both tracks below.
Punk Rock Beezy (Full Mix)
Never Gonna Stop (Vocal Mix)
Standout track I produced on Amsterdam’s 2008 second solo project, The Good Hurt. True story in the lyrics as evident by the voicemail at the end. Currently in the studio with Amsterdam working on his new album, Its Not You Its Me. For more of Amsterdam, check his mixtape with Middle, that I produced (see Say Nike ft. Mistah Fab) on and mixed, under the group Top Shelf entitled Love Rap here.
Cut ‘Em or Pay ‘Em is a compilation project I dropped back in January with fellow Portland producer Sonny. We sat down with a goal to put out a product showcasing the talent the Northwest had to offer over our varied production styles. At 18 tracks, we weren’t able to fit all the people onto the disc that we wanted to, but we did get quite the roster. Outside appearances include Playboy Tre (Atlanta) and Punchline (NYC). Click the cover art for the Itunes link and listen to some preview tracks below. Go to Cdbaby.com for a physical copy. Everything mixed and recorded by me at Flatline Studios.
Punchline ft. Toni Hill – Let It Rain
Destro – Keep Doin
Kenny Mack – Cop Cars
Element (Second Family) and Knuckles – Grand Theft Audio

Worked with Public on various features for Amsterdam (Top Shelf) and solo endeavors. He has dropped his long awaited debut, Re-Gifted: Thrift Shop Experience on us. Public has released a few projects in the past (Thrift Shop Experience, NahMean: The Mixtape), but considers this to be his official debut. “Re-Gifted” borrows the latter part of it’s title from the original 2008 release, but also gives a nod to Seinfeld and Public’s own personal fashion tastes.
As he explains it, the metaphor of the thrift shop: “Think of it like each item in a thrift shop has a story. When a person takes that item home, they buy into it’s past, so to speak; I see any conversation where stories are shared or people get a little open to be the same thing – a thrift shop experience. You’re buying into what I’m saying and vice versa. A thrift shop experience is something we’ve held, used, or re-told and now, for all intents and purposes, shared. It’s your story and the way that you tell it. How all that happens is at the core of this record.”
I produced the title track, “Thrift Shop Experience”. Other production duties handled by M-Phazes, Oddisee, 6th Sense, and more. Click the picture for the download link from DJbooth.net. Help support his 2011 tour by visiting Kickstarter.com
Had the opportunity to mix a track off Luck-One’s promotional disc, True Theory Outtakes, called “They Say”. Outtakes is a project Luck put out in anticipation of his full length release, True Theory. Production on Outtakes includes Goodwill, Sonny, Nonstop, Gen. Erik, and more. The official album, True Theory, drops sometime early next year. I mixed all of the songs on True Theory and produced one song entitled, “Monotheism”.
The Outtakes is a great project, but I’m really looking forward to the acclaim Luck is going to receive when the actual album drops. Luck is one of the most hardest working people I’ve seen in the Northwest and deserves all the shine he gets. Like the tracks say, “If these are the out takes, what does the album sound like?”

Started working with Cassow in the studio a couple months ago. He’s got a different flow from any other local artists I’ve worked with this thus far. He just dropped a mixtape called Mixtape Off To Mars hosted by DJ Ill Will. We’ve got a song in the works featuring Caitlin Cardier that’s going to be on his next mixtape. Look out for this guy to make an impact soon. This song, Success Is In Sight, is one of my favorites off the mixtape. I’ll just pretend the vocal samples from Farrakhan aren’t about people like me. This is a track that Northe’n Lights (myself and Sonny) produced off Playboy Tre’s mixtape, The Last Call. I linked up with Tre through a mutual friend, Baboyboi, out in Atlanta some time last year. He had been working with him on some stuff with B.o.B. and mentioned that I should try and do some music with him. At the time, I had no idea the star that B.o.B was about to become. Tre came through and did the song On Dat Other Sh*t on the Northe’n Lights project and used this beat from us for his latest mixtape which you can download off 2dopeboyz.
Been working with Element (of Second Family) and Knuckles since the Northe’n Lights project (see Grand Theft Audio). This song is off their Gateway Drug album set to drop in early 2011. We’ve got some other tracks that have yet to be released but are fire as well. For more, get their album Caskets and Funerals Homes.
Kenny Mack and Mikey Vegaz are set to release their collaboration project, The Money Rules in 2011. Looking forward to this project coming out; it’s the best from both artists. Production includes myself, Krispy Hendrixx, CClegg, Syko, and more. Check the promo video from Massive 25 at the Crown Room. Mixing/Recording work on the background track done by myself. Video by We Are One Productions.
